Every paper is built from a curated question bank organised by board, class, subject, chapter and topic, and only questions our content team has approved for use can appear on a paper. That means the questions are filed under the syllabus your students are actually studying - and you can still read, edit or swap every one before you print.

When you generate a paper, ExamBee picks questions section by section - so many MCQs, so many short answers, so many long answers - and spreads them across the chapters you selected, so one chapter doesn't take over the whole test. The paper is laid out the way real exam papers are: objective questions first, longer written answers last, every question numbered and every section showing its marks.

Pick your board, class and subject and you see that syllabus's chapters and topics, in order. ExamBee currently covers CBSE, ICSE and State Boards, and new boards and classes are added to the same generator as they are prepared.

Making a chapter-wise question paper is as simple as ticking the chapters you have finished teaching. Select one chapter for a quick class test, the first half of the book for a mid-term, or every chapter for the annual exam. With chapter-wise distribution switched on, questions are shared out evenly between your chapters; switch on randomise to shuffle the order inside each section. Looking for a specific class? A good paper tests recall, understanding and expression - so it needs more than one kind of question. ExamBee lets you combine six question types in a single paper: multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blanks, one-word answers, short answers and long answers.

Each type becomes its own lettered section - Section A for multiple choice questions, Section B for short answers and so on - with a clear heading and the marks for that section. MCQ options are laid out neatly under each question, true-or-false questions get their options automatically, and written questions get answer lines so the paper is ready for students to write on.

Start with the total marks - 20 for a class test, 40 for a unit test, 80 for a term exam - then decide how many questions of each type you want and how many marks each carries. ExamBee checks the numbers as you go, so the sections always add up exactly to your total. No more papers that come to 79 marks.

Difficulty is in your hands too. Choose easy for a confidence-building practice test, hard for toppers' preparation, or mixed for a realistic exam that has a little of everything. If your chapters run short of questions at one level, the nearest level fills the gap, so you still get a complete paper. The exam name, academic year and time allowed are printed at the top, along with general instructions you can switch on or off.

Every ExamBee paper has an answer key ready the moment it is generated. Objective questions show the correct option; short and long answer questions show a model answer, and an explanation wherever one is available - so evaluation is faster and every teacher marks against the same standard.

The answer key downloads as its own PDF, separate from the question paper. Print the paper for the class and keep the key with you. When you share a paper as a link, the people you share it with see the questions only - the answers stay private to you. Students practising at home can use the key to check their own work, and the free sample question papers show their answer keys online.

A generated paper is a starting point, not the final word. You can edit the wording of any question, swap one you don't like for a different question from the same chapters, move questions up or down, delete them, or add more questions and even a whole new section.
